World Surf League - Margaret River Pro

Every April the Samsung Galaxy World Surf League rolls into the sleepy South-West town of Margaret River, 3 hours South of the states capital Perth in Western Australia. 32 of the worlds best surfers battle it out in the raw, wind swept conditions this coastline has to offer, with only 1 being crowned the champion. This year it went to wildcard Hawaiin surfer Sebastian Zietz, or mostly known as Seabass to his fellow competitors. The final saw a 2 man battle with Julian Wilson almost taking the win before Seabass snatching victory from the young Australian, getting the score he needed in the dying minutes. Such a great event and well worth a look if you have the opportunity.
